A Craftsman inspired home steps from the beach.
This Stinson compound has its sleeping quarters separate from the main living areas. It has a lush integrated garden surrounding the home, large deck, and outdoor shower with mountain views. It is private, spacious, serene, and magical. There are 2 bedrooms, 1 full bath and 2 1/2 baths. This home sleeps 4 people max. There is No T.V. but there is WiFi. The main house is heated by the wood fireplace. There are 3 portable heaters for each bedroom as well as main house.

    This place is a perfect beach house...relaxed and comfortable but spacious, well equipped, and very special. The design, finishes, and furniture reflect a casual elegance that evokes Martha Stewart. Not at all cluttered, but it’s obvious a lot of thought (and a sense of style) went into selecting each piece of furniture and art.

    We live in Oakland and have been renting homes in Stinson for a week in the summer for many years. We have stayed in Seadrift, on most of the calles and up on the hill. 50 Calle del Ribera is our favorite home so far. Two houses down from the beach, an easy walk to the Parkside, this home is comfortable and a joy to spend time in. We particularly enjoyed the personal charm. It doesn't feel like a rental at all. Well-equipped for baking (which we like to do on vacation) and stocked with plenty of firewood. We loved it!

    The cabin offers a charming atmosphere with distinct sleeping areas, ample space for lounging, a well-maintained garden, and convenient proximity to the beach. It is also conveniently located within a short walking distance to town. If you appreciate a rustic ambiance and are unfazed by its idiosyncrasies, this accommodation may suit your preferences.

    Noteworthy features include its prime location, generous roominess, a functional kitchen, and a lovely garden. However, there are a few drawbacks to consider. Firstly, the main doors lacked proper locking mechanisms, with some even failing to open. Additionally, the choice of window coverings compromised both privacy and the ability to block out the early morning sunlight in the bedrooms. Moreover, all bedrooms have separate outdoor entrances, which may be suitable for groups of friends but not ideal for families with young children. Furthermore, an strong mildew odor permeated all bedrooms and the main cabin furniture. Other inconveniences included the lack of beach towels or an outdoor heater, as well as an insufficient amount of drawers or closet space for an extended stay.

    With some improvements, this property could truly shine as an excellent choice for a small group. Specifically, a thorough inspection and maintenance of closets, pantry, and drawers is necessary, along with addressing the issues with the doors and outdoor shower. Additionally, the inclusion of a set of drawers or a clothing rack in the bedrooms would greatly enhance the overall guest experience.
