  This is the second time we've stayed at this house and we love it. The house is inviting & the atmosphere peaceful. I can tell that the owners of the house have an extensive history here as the environment feels filled with warmth & love. The location is amazing and the folks at Oceanic are, as always, responsive & helpful. Can't wait til our next visit.

  Couldn't get closer to the beach if you wanted to. Right on the water, super nicely stocked kitchen, great views. Nestled in a pretty densely populated street but felt private and secluded from the neighbors. Great hot tub and super comfortable living room.

  Lovely house with a spectacular view and access to the Ocean. Lot’s of ants, but otherwise clean and neat. The guest cottage (converted garage) needs a bit of TLC. The soap dispenser and towel bar both fell off the wall during the visit, and the toilet needed plumbing assistance. But otherwise, a perfect spot for a large group.

  This rental has a prime location - right on the beach, and easy access to town. We liked the enclosed courtyard for our little dog, and that it had a separate one-bedroom cottage which was perfect for our college son studying online. However, this house is hardly "remodeled" (maybe 30 years ago!). I had to 1) tighten screws in the door lock which was falling out, 2) was out the hot water heater air filter which was completely clogged (and making a lot of noise), 3) semi-fix the blinds which wouldn't roll-up to allow us to take in the beautiful view, and 4) have my son push on windows from outside to get them to close (because hardware is shot). The oven is so small you could never cook a big meal. Wiring is patch-worked in places, and there are many water damage spots throughout house. Our disinfecting wipes came away brown with dirt when wiping the kitchen bar counter - clearly hadn't been cleaned well. Cleaning crew also didn't fill the hand soap dispensers which ran out within a couple days. But...fantastic view and location! Also, agent had not alerted the gate about our stay, which caused a kerfuffle with the Seadrift folks.

  This place felt both comfortably lived-in and up-to-date, with a modern kitchen filled with everything you would need in good working order, and attention to details such as nice towels and linens. We loved the wind-shielded patio and the sitting area out on the sand. Our teenagers and their parents had no trouble climbing down the boulders to get to the beach, but be aware that that young children, older people, and people with limited mobility might have trouble with that.

  It's a great house in a good oceanfront location with amazing views of both the ocean and the hills. There was plenty of usable space on both the ocean side and in the courtyard area.
  
  The kitchen was great and well-stocked with utensils (except for wine glasses which I'm guessing get a lot of use and resulting breakage).
  
  The beds were comfortable and there were plenty of them for guests.
  
  We rented the separate guest house and that was great - well-maintained, clean, and a great option for guests who want some privacy with it's own bathroom and mini-kitchen - a great convenience.
  
  On the down-side, the house was not what I would call immaculate. While I understand that it's difficult to keep a beach-house totally sand-free all the time, there was a lot of dust and cobwebs too.
  
  Some maintenance items:
  - there was no firewood
  - the patio light over the barbecue was broken
  - the new gas BBQ was a pleasant surprise since we were told by the realty office that the small red one in the web site pictures was the only BBQ, based on that information, we unnecessarily brought our own grill to compensate
  - there is actually too much living room furniture making the room very crowded
  - also, the furniture is very heavy, difficult to move - and the cushions were dirty
  
  Overall, it's a great house, but for the price, I would expect better maintenance.

  Rental was great but almost impossible to get to the beach. My daughter injured her leg on the boulders. I had to use a neighbor's ladder to get to the beach. Can't imagine how difficult it would be with small children.
